OGHA Aspirant Vows To Emancipate Constituents

A House of Assembly aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Ogun State, Adeoso Shakirat Blessing (ASB) has pledged to work tirelessly in order to better the lot of her people, if given the mandate.

Adeoso who is contesting to represent Obafemi Owode Constituency in 2019 made the vow shortly after purchasing her nomination form at the ADC Party Secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

She said her aspiration was occasioned by the desire to bring about meaningful development to her constituency as well as the people.

Adeoso also promised to promote people-centred legislation, noting that the people’s welfare would be at the top of her priorities.

The aspirant who is an avowed member of the ADC commended the Party leadership for ensuring a greater involvement of Women in politics, saying this sets the party out from others.

“Kudos to the party that has given women a greater role in politics. We are not relegated to the background politically. I am happy to be associated with this fast-rising party.” she submitted.

Continuing, Adeoso said “I am also happy that I have taken a giant step in actualizing my aspiration by purchasing the nomination form. I want to make life more abundant for my people. I know surely, things can be better.”

“The people deserve better. If I emerge the representative of my people in Obafemi Owode, I promise to work round the clock to ensure that the women, youth and the aged are well taken care of. My plans and policies as a legislator would be centred on my Constituents.”
