Daniel Urges Wealthy Nigerians to Invest Locally


The Former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who can be regarded as hotelier of repute, due to his diversification to hospitality business recently urged highly placed individuals in the society to look in ward in their choice of investment.

He explained that, investing locally will aid employment for the youths and general populace.

In his word while addressing choiced media organisations in the new CONFERENCE HOTEL Abeokuta, “Ogun state was once regarded as civil service state and it is outside money that can further develop the people and the state itself, in a state that produces One hundred thousand graduate, expansion of the economy is one of the ways out of unemployment, we know Government can not do it alone, that is why private companies must be given enabling environment to thrive”.

The former two-term Governor further attributed the issue of unemployment siege in Ogun state to capital flight being carried out by wealthy Nigerians, adding that if such funds in foreign lands could be invested home, it would redeem many from grip of poverty.

Using the new hotel situated at Presidential boulevard,1 Gold Resort Drive Oke mosan Abeokuta as an example, he said, “the hotel has initially absorbed three hundred hands in service and we have recruited additional two hundred workers permanently, we can see that multiplication of such action is what our economy needs if wealthy individuals can support Government by investing locally”.

After the friendly media chats, he took the reporters on facility tours which include; the banquet hall, underground Safari bar, the hotel rooms, swimming pool, conference hall, restaurant, mini mart, open terrace and more.
