The Alakute of Akute land in Ifo Local Government Area.of Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Idowu Aliu Akindele has advised the UPN governorship candidate in Ogun State, Otunba Rotimi Paseda to divert much effort towards grassroots mobilization to actualize his ambition.
Oba Akindele while receiving Otunba Paseda in his palace yesterday bemoaned the deplorable condition of roads leading to the community, hitherto which has hindered the economic drive of the area.
Oba Akindele further lamented the neglect of the grassroots by politicians immediately they gain power, urging Paseda to prioritize developing the grassroots and rural communities through his foundation.
“You have fought a good fight in the last election, but it is a good adventure to prepare you for the bigger challenge.
“If we say we don’t know how bad the situation of things are in the state, we are only deceiving ourselves. We need a liberator and I believe you are already toeing in that path.
“The party you came with, UPN, is not a new generation party, but I pray, the glory of the party will continue to blossom and very soon shall be the point of call.
“But my son, you have to work on grassroots mobilization. You can see how our people are suffering as a result of the neglect and inhuman done to our people in this community. The roads leading to this community are bad and nobody care if people lives in this vicinity, but I want to urge you to continue relating with your people through your noble foundation”, Oba Akindele averred.
While responding, Otunba Rotimi Paseda assured the royal father of his commitment towards empowering the downtrodden especially the youths and women, stressing that government alone cannot provide for the immediate need of the people.
